Overview

A truckload of awards destined for Hollywood is hijacked by an escaped convict. To pass their time on the road together, the hijacker and trucker play a tape of mystery stories, but the tape's three tales of revenge influence the driver to do one very crazy thing. In One for the Road by David Ice, the robbers of a liquor store have picked the wrong clerk to hold up. In A String of Pearls by Scott Leslie, a spoiled little rich girl has finally run out of luck. And in Fate's Shadow by Jonathan Lowe, an injured man plots revenge when the classmate who injured him twenty years ago suddenly surfaces as a celebrity.
