Overview

Victorian London, 1883. Harry and Maddy have no family but each other. By day they sweep chimneys for pennies. By night they sleep in cellars, hiding from the cold and the workhouse. One evening, Maddy hears a story of Santa Claus, the man who slips down chimneys bringing gifts to children who believe. It is a story she cannot forget. As Christmas draws near, she begins to search the rooftops for a sign of him, while Harry tries to protect them both from the dangers of the streets.
