Overview

"Canadian former professional hockey player Norm Beaudin is best known for being ""The Original Jet"" - the first to sign with the Winnipeg Jets Franchise in 1972. He played twenty-five games in the National Hockey League (NHL) and 335 games in the World Hockey Association (WHA). Beaudin also played for the Minnesota North Stars and the St. Louis Blues. Reviews

It feels great to share Norm's story with the world. Norm has a great outlook on life. He's been hit with many hurdles throughout life, and the way he handles those challenges is truly inspiring. - Kim Passante, co-author of The Original The Original is rich in NHL history and quite entertaining. Norm's sense of humor comes through clearly in the personal stories he shares. Hockey fans throughout the world will enjoy reading this one without a doubt! - Stacy A. Padula, author of Gripped, On The Right Path, and Montgomery Lake High This very personal memoir of Norm Beaudin touched me much more than I could have realized. I am not a huge hockey fan, but I love human interest stories and have golfed with Norm and on a rare occasion watched him play hockey as he is on the same team as is a mutual, good friend. It was amazing how the author seamlessly wrote how hockey and life are intertwined. I had no idea what an interesting life Norm led. His farming background, his wife and children all played an important part in his life as did God, which made the story even better. This book leaves you thinking about your own choices in life and wondering how things might have turned out if you had only done, or not done, something in your past. - Rico Austin, PhD.

He played 25 games in the National Hockey League (NHL) and 335 games in the World Hockey Association. Beaudin also played for the Minnesota North Stars and St. Louis Blues. At 80 years old, Beaudin still plays hockey and is an active advocate of the sport, coaching younger generations of players. Kim Passante has known Norm Beaudin since he first moved to Arizona. She is a lifelong sports enthusiast, who grew up in a family of motorsports drivers. It was a natural fit for her to dive into Norm's world of hockey and pen his inspiring story. Over the years, she has written everything from poetry to marketing literature to legal case preparation. Kim, who homeschooled her daughter until she started college, resides with her family in beautiful, sunny Scottsdale, Arizona."
