By a request from the Bullshipper himself, Walt Gabelmann, Tom helped spruce up the weekly market reports in the 1970s and early 1980s through his cartoons. If you lived in the Riceville, Iowa area during this time, you enjoyed seeing the Bullshipper Gang act out local happenings, humorous folklore, or seasonal cheer. As manager and owner of the Riceville Sale Pavilion, mayor of Riceville, a master story teller, and funny-man, Walt gave Tom plenty of material to work with. Both men may have left us in life, but their legacy and humor live on in this celebrated tribute.
