OverviewOptions are the fastest growing trading venue offered today. Option trading volume grew 22% in 2018 alone—faster than any other trading venue. Why? Because traders are learning how options are statistically predictable and orderly. And they provide extensive financial leverage and strategic flexibility. When compared to buying and selling stock, futures, or foreign exchange currency pairs, it’s not even a contest! For just a few hundred dollars, an option trader can control tens of thousands of dollars’ worth of stock, ETF shares, a financial index, or futures contracts. And options offer dozens of trading strategies designed to exploit current market conditions. This book contains 78 option trading strategies, which provides readers with an option toolbox that fits every market condition, i.e., bullish, neutral, or bearish. No other financial instrument offers this flexibility and no other trading venue can provide the same steady financial return week in and week out. Full Product DetailsAuthor: Russell A. Table of ContentsReviewsRussell Stultz's The Option Strategy Desk Reference is a fantastic resource for self-directed investors. As a full-time trader myself, the strategies laid out in the book are commonplace for experienced option traders. Russell has done a great job in dissecting the components of each strategy, as well as providing a plan of action for every possible scenario a strategy may encounter. A helpful graph is accompanied with each strategy to precisely illustrate their risk and reward characteristics. Drawing on personal experience, seasoned option traders usually create their own strategy reference guides after years of testing what works and what does not. With Russell's book, an amateur trader can avoid much of the painful (and potentially costly) trial-and-error trades in order to achieve success faster. Overall, I would recommend this book to any novice or expert trader looking to expand/reinforce his or her trading toolkit and knowledge base. --Michael Marquardt, CPA, MAcc; Options Trading Instructor; Full-time options trader Author InformationRussell Stultz leverages his background as a market trader, writer, instructional designer, and lecturer in this, his 59th published book.
