Richard Lentz is a retired academic who taught at universities in the South, Midwest, and West. He is the author of Symbols, the News Magazines, and Martin Luther King. Karla K. Gower is a professor in the Department of Advertising and Public Relations at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa and is the author or editor of several books, including Public Relations and the Press: The Troubled Embrace.
