The Novel Fabrication of Lithographic Platform for Microfluidic System


Overview

This thesis reported a novel method for fabricating Lab-on-a-CD based on the platform of CD-Recording technology. Through the use of photoresist SU-8 in the indirect thermo-cured method, a protocol of cocktail approach of multiple-dye systems was developed. In this work, the compound prescription that SU-8 mixed with Cyanine was adopted in fabrication of microstructures. Various tests including spectroscopic, optical microscopic and scanning probe microscopic, and thermoanalysis have been conducted to study the SU-8 microstructures. It would be advantageous in fast prototyping and low quantity production to use CD-recording technique for fabricating Lab-on-a-CD.
