The New World Chieftain & The King of the Aztecs: Two Alternate History Stories in One Book

Overview

THE NEW WORLD CHIEFTAIN The New World Chieftain is the first short story in our alternate history series, The New World Chronicles, and builds on The Rainforest Queen African Queen, and Egyptian Queen stories. The main characters The Rainforest Queen, Yarima, the Amazon Rainforest Queen, and Tianshu, a Chinese xplorer, kept the conquistadors from colonizing South America, so Yarima resumes her duties at her village, and Tianshu returns to China to report his accomplishments to his Emperor. His report pleases the Emperor, who gives Tianshu a new assignment: try to prevent European explorers from colonizing Africa, which is presented in The African Queen, as Tianshu and Yarima join forces with Ladi, a Zulu Warrior Queen, to prevent a similar catastrophe from striking the continent known for its teeming wild animals and ferocious warriors who for centuries have kept from being devoured by them. THE KING OF THE AZTECS The King of the Aztecs is another alternate history short story. In it, Tianshu and Yarima travel to North America's southwest, looking for additional Indian tribes to help battle the Spanish Conquistadors. Traveling first to Acapulco, they find a guide who can lead them, and they go first to a tribe of Navajo warriors who want his help. After doing that, the guide takes them to meet the Aztec king, who says the same.
