The New Pagan Handbook: Revised 2017 Edition

Overview

All ancient celebrations relate to Nature and humankind's place within the cosmic whole. Authentic Paganism is based on immutable truths. Unlike later man-made religions, Pagan worship is not in any way doctrinal but is a way of being. It is a great gift that we are all born with. The Old Gods reside deep within us; they dwell also in the vast uncharted corners of the universe and beyond. Their terrible yet beautiful force creates, destroys then creates anew all things in existence. The wondrous Lord and Lady of Paganism are as real today as they have ever been for those exceptional and enlightened people who welcome them into their hearts, minds and souls. In The New Pagan Handbook Pat Regan explores the origins of Paganism, its suppression and re-emergence and looks at ways modern Pagans can express their spirituality and draw closer to the Old Gods. Using classical Roman Paganism as a model, this book shows you how to develop rituals and magick to suit your needs. With extensive appendices on symbolism and festivals, The New Pagan Handbook will help you to begin your own Pagan journey. Pat Regan has worked for many years with the Pagan Anti-defamation Network (PAN), campaigning, researching and writing many articles on Paganism and ecology and is currently the author of nine books.

Author Information

Pat Regan is of Irish and Swiss (or possibly German) ancestry. He was born and raised in Southport, Lancashire in England. He is a proficient yet 'controversial' author, a Pagan, an environmental campaigner, a wildlife photographer and dedicated, life-long angler. Pat has fought over many decades, tooth and nail, to save many natural places and wildlife habitats under threat from fat-cat developers and uncaring politicians. Pat also cares deeply about the destructive power that fundamentalism holds over many societies today. He sees a very real need to warn others about falsehoods that are widely accepted, by countless people, as fact. A countryman of assorted talents, Pat was previously a tree surgeon and later become a surgical chiropodist, reflexologist and sports massage therapist. He also helps to manage a busy, preschool childcare facility. Pat is the father of four children, several grandchildren and he is also well-known in ufology as a researcher and also in paranormal circles. One last thing... You now have the opportunity to rate this book and share your thoughts on Amazon, Facebook, Google and Twitter, etc. If you consider that this volume is worth sharing, please do take a few moments to let your friends know about it.
