Dr. Misha Ruth Cohen is an internationally recognized practitioner, lecturer, leader and mentor in the field of Chinese medicine. She is a principal investigator in Chinese herbal medicine studies for viral-related cancers and cancer prevention in HPV, HIV and hepatitis C. Dr. Cohen recently completed a three-year clinical trial in Chinese herbal medicine for the prevention of cancer in HIV+ people conducted at the UCSF Clinical and Translational Science Institute's Clinical Research Center (CCRC).Dr. Cohen is a Research Specialist for Integrative Medicine at the UCSF Institute for Health and Aging. Nationally, she sits in the board of directors of the Society for Integrative Oncology and is a member of Brainstorming Team of the Hepatitis C Caring Ambassadors Program. She is also Clinic Director of her own practice, Chicken Soup Chinese Medicine.She has also authored numerous professional articles and book chapters on Chinese medicine and research. She has been featured in numerous national and international magazines and journals.Dr. Cohen has been in the clinical practice of Asian medicine for more than 38 years and still is in love with the work of healing. Her main clinical foci are hepatitis C, HIV, cancer support and complex gynecological problems.
