OverviewThis report details excavations carried out in 1997-98 prior to the building of the second runway at Manchester Airport. The evidence recovered demonstrates a reuse of the site from the Early Neolithic period onwards, primarily as a small agriculturally-based 'farmstead', probably heavily dependent upon livestock-farming, particularly sheep.
