The Naked Flesh

Overview

The farm was remote, the girl was trouble, and the offer was too good to be true. Fresh off a two-year stint abroad, Dutch just wants to figure out what to do with the isolated family farm he's inherited. Then he meets Cherry, a stunning model with an audacious proposition: transform his property into an exclusive, no-holds-barred nudist colony for a wealthy, discreet clientele. The money is easy. The women are easier. And Cherry is a temptation he can't resist. But behind the sun-drenched fantasy lies a vicious underworld. The ""guests"" are consumed by raw lust, the ""staff"" are for sale, and Cherry's partner, a shady photographer, has a violent streak. Trapped between two women-a ruthless operator and a haunting old flame-Dutch feels his last shred of morality crumbling. As the scheme spirals into blackmail and brutality, he must make a final, bloody choice: become the monster the operation needs, or tear it all down.

Author Information

Orrie Hitt (1917-1975) was a prolific author of paperback originals. Though known for steamy paperback novels published by houses like Kozy Books and Beacon-Signal, he crafted authentic portrayals of working-class life and social issues beneath the sensational covers. Despite writing racy books, Hitt was a family man who supported his wife and four kids working insurance and radio before turning to full-time writing in 1954. What set him apart from other authors was his brutal honesty about blue-collar American life, pitch-perfect dialogue, and characters that stick with you. Mark Storey earned a Master's Degree in Philosophy from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington, in 1988. He teaches Philosophy at Bellevue College, in Bellevue, Washington. Storey is also on the editorial staff of Nude & Natural magazine, with over 100 magazine articles on naturism published in North America and elsewhere.
