Dr. Perez-Chisti is the current President of the Sufi Universal Fraternal Institute, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization where she teaches Comparative World Religion, Sufi Esoteric Studies and Healing Methodologies. She was a professor of Comparative World Religions, Philosophy and Psychology for over 50 years, teaching at different universities worldwide. She has served as the Director of the Prison Library Project and as the Coordinating Director of the Emergency Relief Fund International, which distributed medical aid to countries destroyed by famine.
