The Mystery of Little Man: Silent Whispers of the Australian Bush

Overview

Born deep in the remote bushland of Australia, Little Man was no bigger than the size of a pink jellybean when he began his life's journey. Before he could make his way into his mother's pouch, he fell from her fur and landed on a soft bed of grass and leaves.Fortunately for Little Man, a gentle hearted wallaby and her daughter were foraging for food nearby when the discovered him being warmed by the morning sun. The kind-hearted wallaby scooped him up and placed him inside her joey pouch, adopting him, promising to raise him as her very own.Little Man grew quickly and when he reached maturity, he reluctantly left home to experience and explore the world and all it had to offer. He promised his adopted family he would return one day after he had discovered the adventures he was seeking to experience. In his travels, Little Man met all sorts of Australian animals and gained a lot of experience and knowledge. After two years, he suddenly felt an overwhelming urge to go home and share what he had learnt with his family, but most importantly he had a revelation he needed to confide to his adopting mother and sister. His homecoming was met with significant and grave danger, but Little Man rose to the occasion, becoming the all-powerful hero for his family.

Author Information

The author is a retired Australian grandfather with a deep sense of patriotism. Having worked for government departments, the hospitality industry and as a consultant living and working for many years throughout the South Pacific and South East Asian regions. These experiences allowed him to immerse himself in the several diverse cultures and lifestyles, forming close friendships that he still cherishes to this day. This children's book was inspired by a simple yet profound request from one of his grandchildren in her early years, who asked his wife, 'Tell me a story that isn't in a book.' Overhearing this question, it sparked the idea for a story that has been continually evolving within himself ever since, until the author made a personal commitment to commence writing it all down.
