This beautifully illustrated story is a true account of an intriguing summer my late husband and I spent with a butterfly. It seemed almost impossible to us that the interaction between us really happened and it made us feel very special. It provides a gentle introduction for children to all kinds of emotions, mostly an awareness of joy and wonder but also feelings of sadness, even grief; above all there is a mysterious sense of connection between a tiny creature and two people. At the back is a page of information about the red admiral butterfly and its life cycle and even some real photos of the very butterfly.
