OverviewThe Mustard Seed is an adaptation of a Buddhist parable. Set in India, the original story of The Mustard Seed is about a woman named Kisa Gotami. When Kisa gave birth to a son, Kisa loved him more than life itself and experienced true happiness for the first time. But one fateful night, her baby fell ill and died. Grief-stricken and desperate, Kisa pleads with the Buddha to give her medicine to bring her son back to life. With careful att ention and quiet knowing, the Buddha surprisingly directs Kisa to fi nd a mustard seed for healing.
