Author Information

Onyeka Chidebelu was born in Abagana, a town in Anambra State located in Eastern Nigeria. The date of his birth was April 20, 1976. His mother, Eveleen Nwaenu was from Nwadike family that settled in Abagana, having come from Enugu-Ezike, a town near Nsukka. His father was called Joseph Ojimma Chidebelu, who had also married other wives. He passed away during the late seventies. Onyeka had his primary education at Udoeke Primary School, Abagana and later completed his studies at Onuiyi Primary School, Nsukka and University Staff School of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He lived with his cousin, Professor SAND Chidebelu during part of his primary school period and then later, during secondary school days, at Nsukka High School, Nsukka. He holds a degree certificate in Computer Science of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He has been living and working in Lagos for some years. After his University days, he had been involved with ministerial functions in some Anglican dioceses. He was also an active member of the Anglican Students' fellowship of his university. He has been able to write down some words earlier in life. During his elementary school days, he wrote poems. During his secondary school days he wrote poems and did learn a lot of the French language. In his days at the University of Nigeria, he busied his hands writing poems that were eventually published in some national journals and newspapers. After Nsukka, he has been learning to write novels and essays. At present he is an author of published poems, an essay and several works of prose.
