The MoonDawn Games: Book One

Overview

Mysarin is a serial killer who can't remember actually killing. All she knows is that once a month she wakes up beside a body with blood on her hands. In the day she's a courtesan, and the fresh fiance to the sweet-and maybe a little naive-baker's son, Deime. After his proposal reawakens the raw urge to free herself from the pleasure house and uncover the truth about her lost nights, Mysarin moves into Taurean Castle under the guise of a talented glamor mage. All seems to come together, until the heir to the throne, Syndra Loraenar, asks Mysarin to impersonate her. Estair turned her luck around after being sold to a band of pirates when she was a child by working her way up to the rank of First Mate; he who steers his own ship and leads his own crew. Yet, now she had killed one of her crew mates-a crime punishable by death. In a strange deal made with the Pirate Prince, Boonefaentelle Karnoch, Estair has exchanged her death for a new servitude. She is shipped off to the Taurean Castle to work as a soldier in their army, only to find herself fighting in the deadly MoonDawn Games. Delvuvius is an ex-soldier castle-squatter who prays to an unheeding deity as he sells false products in the streets of Stonecrest. After a plan to pick-pocket a Lady of the court goes wrong, he must put his expertise to use and train someone in battle magic as penance, under the demand of the Queen and the Princess. He finds himself on the precipice of becoming who he was once destined to be, and hopelessly falling for the woman he's training-Mysarin.
