Overview

In these poems, nature conflicts with urban city life. Jealousy and envy hack away at men's hearts and, at times, throw them into a vortex of darkness. The world is in turmoil. But don't let her fool you. She carries the early marks of deceit. In the name of this and that, it isn't easy to read anything into her smile, and it's not beyond her to stab you in the back. One also finds here a well-constructed poem on the life cycle of the glowworm. The themes in the four sections of this volume range from the relationship between man and nature to the theme of war and man's search for a balance between the material and the spiritual.
