Reviews

This is unquestionably a wonderful book... a milestone work of humbling significance and continuing practical value. Journal of Architectural Conservation A veritable mine of information... this book is essential and I suggest getting two copies, one to keep clean and indoors for browsing, research or interest - the other, and this is where it will surely end up, as a workshop manual to help in practice, pricing and experimenting. Buy this book. Conservation News The book is a feast of information on the subject proclaimed by its title, and required reading for architects and restoration plasterers. Ecclesiastical and Heritage World

Author Information

Verrall taught plastering at the North London Polytechnic and was committed throughout his life to the continuing education of plasterers. He wrote a number of smaller books on the subject, but The Modern Plasterer remains as his seminal work.
