Overview

""Mists of Tor"" is a story of exciting adventure, dangerous plots, heart break and the challenges faced by a young girl, who over time develops the courage to face who and what she is despite the fact that she has no idea where she has come from or why she is so physically different from others. With purple hair, elfin ears and blue skin and the only one who looks like that, both at her home and at Citadel, the school for training in magical skills, it was natural for her to question who she was, where she came from and how she ended up with a wizard and a witch as her guardians. After suffering a heartbreaking rejection at her school, Miri views herself as a nothing, a freak of nature. She considers her abilities to cast spells and to travel to other places through the magic of her drawings as abnormal and does everything she can to hide them from others. Her only compensation is her friendship with a boy named Dogle and her love for her water dragon, Nania. The goal of trying to find her family and home becomes even more important to her, but the task seems hopeless. Where would she start to look and who would help? Suddenly, she begins to receive disturbing messages that her life is in danger. The terrifying shadow goblins are searching for her and she doesn't know why. She discovers that a revengeful queen has hired them to find her and take her to their city of Dark Water to kill her and from that point on, Miri's life takes a dramatic turn and becomes one life-threatening experience after another. Trying to prove that she is worthy, she accepts a quest to find the mysterious Ambrielle who has disappeared, resulting in the destruction of the balance in the weather on the island of Tor. She is unaware that it is her relationship with the mysterious Ambrielle that is causing the queen's murderous attempts on her life. Despite the help and support of her unique friends, the mysterious shape-changing cat named Podgkins, Twig, a strange little Wickersnit who prefers the shape of a tiny spider, her friend Dogle, the wizard Azmodeus and a trapped queen dragon named Frynyth, Miri finds herself fighting to survive against the wrath of the spiteful queen in order to save the island and its people from ruin. Will Miri's own magical abilities and confidence in herself, be strong enough to protect her from the powerful spells of the vicious queen in order to complete her quest?
