Overview

Professor Vezzosi, a musician of limited talent, has to compile the scores for an international event. In order to work closely with the client, he finds himself staying in an apartment in a seaside village that floats in a timeless bubble, where the absence of people is inexplicable. There he begins to have nightmares, but a sinister fascination and the spectacle of the fishing lamps lead him to work with an inspiration he has never experienced before. The assignment he receives, miraculous in itself, triggers a chain of atrocities that plunges the musician into a vortex of murders that began some twenty years earlier and which his arrival in the village, as someone had predicted long ago, will have to put an end to. Il mistero del lupo e delle lampare (The Mystery of the Wolf and the bright fishing-boats) is the story of an enigma, of a conspiracy by a brotherhood of fanatics, and of a curse that awaited the arrival of the unwitting Vezzosi to be fulfilled.
