Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationLeonard Filgate is an artist and illustrator who is best known for his series of illustrations and children's books based on the mouse known as RIP SQUEAK(R) which he and his wife, author Susan Yost Filgate created in 1997. Over 500,000 of their books and numerous originals and print editions of Leonard's art have sold worldwide. Leonard is a native of San Francisco, California and is a self-taught artist and illustrator who has been honored as featured illustrator for the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books and with a solo exhibition at the Delaware Art Museum in Wilmington, Delaware, among numerous other honors. He was inducted as a member of the New York Society of Illustrators in 2006. Susan has a degree in art & museum education from Pennsylvania State University and currently works as Education Director at the Fresno Art Museum in Fresno, California.
