Paul T. O'Connor spent more than forty years in journalism, covering North Carolina politics through his column and has appeared on on CNN, C-Span, and public radio. He taught for thirty years at UNC-Chapel Hill's journalism school, mentoring students now thriving in journalism nationwide. A New Haven, Conn., native, he holds degrees from Notre Dame and the University of Minnesota. ​ He lives in Durham, N.C., with his wife and son. ​
