OverviewThe Mishmash is a collection of plays. Each piece explores something unique; the erosion of the self ensnared in a grim medieval keep, a satirical self-help guide denouncing discrimination, a surreal monologue set within the mindscape of a protagonist unraveling due to chronic loneliness, a duologue-with-monologues piece authentically representing sapphic longing and the yearning to be truly understood whilst bound within a friendship dynamic, the loneliness a protagonist feels when ill, a protagonist being misunderstood by those around her, of how profound loneliness feels like a dark void and a protagonist wondering what the alternative outcome would have been, the trying to connect with people but receiving only crumbs, nothing, and disappointment as a result, the misplacement of the mask that was once adorned, and a protest against the illegality of tails being docked. Also embellished with some extra scrap plays: a letter to a friend, a pitch about a French New Wave film, a queer awakening, and the suppression of a protagonist's gay self that she had repressed for years out of fear of being rejected by her loved ones and those around her. It contains 14 stageplays yeah diverse the mishmash title is to say these are diverse works but they are together Full Product DetailsAuthor: Jodie O'DriscollPublisher: Jodieodriscollbooks Imprint: Jodieodriscollbooks Dimensions: Width: 14.00cm , Height: 2.70cm , Length: 21.60cm Weight: 0.445kg ISBN: 9781036953409ISBN 10: 1036953408 Pages: 430 Publication Date: 22 January 2026 Audience: General/trade , General Format: Paperback Publisher's Status: Active Availability: Available To Order We have confirmation that this item is in stock with the supplier.
