Overview

Ever wanted to take to the open road? Ever attempted that with kids? The Quirkus did. It wasn't pretty. Forget the house and the quarter-acre block. This is one family's hilarious attempt to achieve the new Great Australian Dream - a road trip through the great southern land with kids. Experience the twists and turns of family life on the road with The Ideas Man, Bionic Woman, The Swagman, Chipmunk and Princess Contrary. Take or leave their travel tips and get educated on Australia's lesser known, but quirkier, history, people and places. Most importantly, enjoy. You are about to embark on a true tale only fiction could top.

Reviews

From the moment we're introduced to the Casey clan and their junior crew of reluctant travellers it's hard not to love the honest, raw and remarkable similarities this delightfully rambunctious family have to the characters in our own families. A joy from start to finish and a refreshingly funny story of family's road trip into the Australian outback that's packed with chaos, craziness and the perfect amount of quirkiness. Corinne Brown, Digital Editor - Child Mags

This story is the best recount of a complete set of misadventures endured by your typical nuclear family. A hilariously captivating page-turner Murphy's Law would be proud of. I've never laughed so hard or so often reading a book before. Amy Murphy, Digital Editor, Outback Traveller Magazine.
