Dr. Emeran Mayer previously served as the founding chair of UCLA Collaborative Centers for Integrative Medicine, as the executive director of UCLA Oppenheimer Center for Neurobiology of Stress and Resilience, and as the codirector of the CURE: Digestive Diseases Research Center. He has joint appointments in the Departments of Medicine, Physiology and Psychiatry. His work has appeared in the New England Journal of Medicine and has been featured in Psychology Today, the New York Times, the Sunday Times, and on NPR and PBS. He lives in Los Angeles. Tom Parks is an AudioFile Earphones Award-winning narrator who has also been a finalist for the prestigious Audie Award for best narration. He has been involved in recording audiobooks and voice-overs for over thirty years and through an eclectic range of projects. In addition to performing and directing, he is also an active musician, drumming in musical theater productions in the Midwest, and is in demand as a conference speaker.
