The story tells of a Midsummer day when a little hare leaves his home beside the riverbank to go exploring. At first all is idyllic as he ventures further and further into the fen. But then a terrifying encounter with the world of man catapults him into a frightening adventure and he struggles to find his way home. On his way, he meets many of the gentle creatures who inhabit the watery world of an English fen. A delightful little book for everyone from young children to anyone who treasures wildlife and nature.
