Reviews

5 stars from a reviewer who writes: This is a beautiful start to Lisa Prysock's Song of the Prairie series. After an Indian attack on the trading post and town, will Coralee and Cade be able to survive and keep their inheritance? I have some to expect the unexpected from Lisa, making her stories so enjoyable. 5 stars and another reviewer writes: I was engaged from the beginning as I was transported back to the 1830s world of the Old West and the small frontier town of Ford's Promise. I stayed caught up in the story all the way through to the end. A well-structured plot packed with action and emotion, skillfully crafted and realistic characters, an authentic western setting, sweet romantic undertones, and a thought-provoking faith thread combine to make an inspiring, entertaining story. 5 stars from Author Shonda Czeschin Fischer who writes: With intriguing characters that I instantly fell in love with. This story starts like a scene from a John Wayne movie with an exciting Indian attack. It was perfection! Every page was tension-filled with only a growing romance that gave a reprieve. So many great parts to this story (like the Saloon and the Harrison family) that I loved. The entire story was entertaining and I couldn't put it down until I finished it. Adventure, great fight scenes, Indians, and a swoony British gentleman who is bad to the bone when it comes to fighting and loving. Everything you want in an early American Western read. If this book is any indication of the second one, then wow, we are in for a treat!
