His research has been widely published and cited by major literacy organizations, earning him numerous accolades, including induction into the International Reading Hall of Fame and recognition as one of the world's top 2% of scientists. A former classroom teacher, Rasinski brings decades of experience to his work supporting struggling readers. Melissa Cheesman Smith is an experienced elementary educator, teacher mentor, and author of over a dozen literacy books, including The Megabook of Fluency and Daily Word Ladders series, co-authored with Timothy Rasinski. She holds a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction, has taught college-level literacy courses, and presents nationally on fluency, vocabulary, writing, and teacher development.
