The Me They Don't See is a collection of poetry about the personal experiences and situations that have made a difference in my life, from middle school fights to high school, being diagnosed with Narcolepsy, and all the things I have learned along the way. I have put a little bit of my heart into this book, telling the story of the people and things that mean a lot to me. This book is a doorway into my life and emotions. This is my perspective on life.

Author Information

Alexis Tobar is currently a sophomore at Chief Sealth International High School. She is fifteen years old and suffers with severe Narcolepsy, which is a sleep disorder. In her free time she likes to write, color, draw, paint, hang out with her family, and do woodshop. She has a very artistic personality and plans to become an architect after graduating college. In the meantime, she has plans to publish a collection of fiction pieces, so be on the lookout for more from Alexis Tobar.
