Rade B. Vukmir, M.D., J.D., is president of Critical Care Medicine Associates, a medical administrative consulting enterprise. He is trained in emergency medicine and critical care medicine, and has a legal degree with a specialization in health law. This company has been a medical consulting enterprise for eighteen years providing a wide variety of medical administrative activity, education, medicolegal, and business consultation services. Dr. Vukmir has written forty-one medical journal articles and is the author of six books, including The Mill (University Press of America, 1999); Lessons Learned (University Press of America, 2003); The ER: A Year in the Life (Hamilton Books, 2005); and The ER: One Good Thing a Day (Hamilton Books, 2008).
