The First Half of the ""Chronicles of Michael and Calida"" Arc of ""The MAL Series,"" chronicling the relationship between the Prince of the Human Kingdom and the Princess of the Dragon Kingdom in the land of Hugoeldra. Book 13: The Romance of Michael and Calida Michael Mortimer Magnus-struggling writer, hopeless romantic, and Prince of the Human Kingdom-develops an awkward friendship with Calida Serpentine Incendium-vegetarian, ventriloquist, and Princess of the Dragon Kingdom. Out of a need for diplomacy, the two bond over exotic food, battling Goblins, and sharing conspiracy theories about the return of Motus, the Fallen Prince of the Elves. Book 15: The Other Side of Michael and Calida Under the guidance of Emorej-an elemental wizard calling himself the ""Master of Earth""-Michael and Calida travel to the Other Side of the World, seeking to find and defeat the fabled Master of Darkness, thus ridding their world of his evil. However, they soon learn of a threat that goes beyond their world upon the discovery of a mysterious black stone shaped like a teardrop with a red upside-down Alpha-Omega Symbol contained within it.
