Kryachkov heads the English Language Department of the School of International Relations of MGIMO University. He combines teaching and research with working as a translator and conference interpreter. He is the author of English for Students of International Relations and Regional Studies. Master’s Level (2015) and a co-author of the Coursebook for Students of International Relations and Regional Studies. Bachelor’s Level: Competence-based Approach (in two parts, 2009). His current interests include course design and materials development for General English and English for Specific Purposes, blended-learning, and lexicology.Elena B. Yastrebova has a PhD in Education, and is a Professor of English at MGIMO University. She has been teaching university students for over 30 years and is also involved in university teachers’ training. Her interests are course design and materials development for teaching ESP and General English, ICT in Foreign Language Teaching, cross-cultural communication, and learner autonomy. She has been an active member of the Applied Linguistics Association of Russia since 1993, and is also a member of the International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language.
