He writes mostly about animals, and is passionate about getting people to connect with the wonder around them. His other books for DK are The Frozen Worlds and Mountain. Claire McElfatrick is a freelance artist who has illustrated all the other books in The Magic and Mystery of... series. Her beautiful hand-drawn and collaged illustrations are inspired by her home in rural England.
