Overview

The Mad Professor Hard-nosed New York News reporter Sonia Carter is so exhausted, she is offered a rest bite with a catch: go and rest for 10 days, but do some spying for Freddie, her hard-nosed boss, whose news group is under intense takeover bid from the Van Blake Corporation based in LA, and Freddie is very suspicious. On Sonia's work vacation, she meets up with English-born Professor Henry, and a brief romance turns into love. While investigating the Van Blake Corporation, Sonia soon finds that it is more than just a normal company; it is a mafia front. Sonia is unable to find out much more before she needs to return to New York. Leaving Henry behind in LA, the professor's mind in a whirl, while his project theory is still unproven and his love life left hanging, the professor comes to New York to find Sonia. Meanwhile, the Van Blake Corporation is not giving up on their aggressive takeover. But fueled with secret information from the professor's boss and his old boy network back in LA, Sonia soon finds out the truth about the Van Blake corporation, but can they stop the takeover at the last minute, and what will Sonia do with her new love?
