"Why would anyone want to do a study on hell? I was once told something to this effect, ""If you ever want to help people escape hell, you should ask the Lord to show you hell. That way, you will be better equipped to help others escape it."" In this study, I asked the Lord to show me a little about hell. I didn't want to go there before I did this study. I want to go there even less now. It should be noted that there are different terms and nuances for hell in the Bible. The Old Testament term and one New Testament term can mean grave, pit, and hell (disembodied spirits of the wicked dead). The other two New Testament terms reference the everlasting fire of hell. This study is not intended to be technical, but devotional. It is intended to give us a little closer glimpse of hell, so we can better help others to escape it. Some chapter headings are: The Lowest Hell, The Way to Hell, Turn from Hell, Insatiable Hell, Brought Down to Hell, The Danger of Hell, The Power Over Hell, The Torments of Hell, The Fire of Hell, and Hell Dies Again. Please, don't go there. Don't desire for others to go there. Repent and believe in Jesus Christ, and escape hell. May God bless you in His word."
