Overview

Each soul's journey through life on planet earth is an ultimate adventure. The greater picture of the billions of lives and these stories are a cosmic phenomenon we can never comprehend in this life. But along with our God-given intuition and creative power, we can imagine. And in all our lives, we learn at one point or another that there is inner guidance available for us if we merely tune in. I told someone that I had written a book about reincarnation. She asked, Is it fiction? And the only answer I could find for her was, That's a good question. I have written books, short stories, essays, articles, songs, poems and countless scripts and comedy routines. The Lives of Carl Atman is a book that I have been wanting to write for years, maybe for lifetimes. I was inspired by the observable cycles of life that ebb and flow all around us throughout our lives and I felt compelled to write this story. My hope above all else, is that you enjoy the journey.

Author Information

In 1956, Steve Martin aspired to be a great magician, and a millionaire. Morris Walker wanted to be a comedian and meet the love of his life, and travel the world and entertain together. Steve and Morris met the first day of the sixth grade, with two absent fathers, they bonded and became best friends, closer than brothers, and powerful influences on each other for the rest of their lives. They began working at Disneyland together in 1957. They were so close for many years. Years later while on the road performing with the soul mate Morris dreamed of, he began writing about growing up with Steve who was rising to fame and fortune at the time. After performing for the USO during the Vietnam war, Morris and Lynn performed thousands of live shows in small towns across America. Eventually their children, Skye and Amoris, came along and became part of the family performing group called, The EarthWalkers. Focused on teaching people about the endangered environment and what they could do about it, they performed over three thousand shows. The Steve Martin biography was a labor of love for Morris. Writing had always been a passion for Morris. Over the years he has written countless songs, poems, comedy routines, short stories, essays and articles. For the last 25 years as video producers, Morris and Lynn Walker have created many documentaries, and productions about everything from the largest Christmas tree farms in the world to catamarans on Maui and a plethora of other productions plus a feature documentary about their hometown, beautiful Corvallis, Oregon. The biography about Steve Martin was fact based. It was a joy for Morris to spend those formative years with Steve and document their wild and crazy youth. When the MAGIC YEARS was published, Steve said, Morris you are a great writer! and gave this quote for the cover: 'Finally a book about me, I loved this book and fell deeply in love with the central character. Since that time, there was an idea percolating in Morris's head, another book. The Lives of Carl Atman. A different kind of thrill was felt with writing the Atman book. It was a fulfillment of an idea that he felt just might make an enjoyable journey for many. After so many years of entertaining, always with the goal to do just that, you can rely on THE LIVES OF CARL ATMAN to be intriguing, unique and enjoyable.
