He is a cartoonist and illustrator and his work is regularly published in the Guardian, the New Yorker and New Scientist. He has created a number of comic books including You're all Just Jealous of My Jetpack, Mooncop, Goliath and Baking With Kafka for which he won an Eisner award for the Best Humour Publication.
