Overview

Somewhere, not so far away, there's a cave filled with wonderful creatures. All the Little Somethings, and all the Big Somethings, are having a picnic to celebrate Trippety Doodah Day. But there is one missing Little Something. No-one knows where Little Hogwash can be. So everybody searches for him. Meanwhile, Little Something Trunky puts the finishing touches to the scooter he is converting for the trip. But he hears that a little something missing and this wordplay leads to some fun confusion as the tale unfolds. The Little Somethings combine the collectability of the Mr Men with the charm and appeal of classic picture book characters. Children will have fun pointing out the different characters with the 'Spotters Guide' and enjoy the Something Missing game!

Author Information

Jill Lewis is actually two people! Jill and Alison combine their talents (education and theatre production) to bring a fresh, inventive voice to the world of picture books. For Egmont, they have written Don't Read This Book (illustrated by The Night Pirates illustrator Deborah Allwright), Coconut Jack and Something Delicious. Ali Pye has wanted to illustrate books for as long as she can remember, but it took her a while to get around to doing it. She studied fashion at Central St Martins, faffed about for a decade, had children and then eventually enrolled on an MA in illustration at Kingston University. Ali was commissioned by Egmont to illustrate 'Where is Fred?' while studying at Kingston. She lives in Twickenham with her husband, children and two very shy guinea pigs.
