The Little Mole In His Hole

Overview

Fred loves his cosy little burrow that he dug, but it can become lonely so deep underground with only the silly earthworms to talk to. So, one day Fred decided he would do some exploring above ground. But there is only one problem. Moles have poor eyesight!

Author Information

For 25 years, I worked as a primary school teacher, a role I truly loved. The classroom was a place of creativity and curiosity, where I enjoyed bringing lessons to life and finding new ways to make learning engaging and memorable. One of my greatest joys was reading to children - watching their imaginations spark - and, just as importantly, reading the stories they created themselves. After having my two daughters, I felt a pull toward a new challenge. I still wanted to inspire children, but in a different way - something that combined creativity, storytelling, and immersive experiences. That's when the idea for Icenai Domes was born. Icenai Domes is an immersive environment where stories come alive. Within the dome, I can create entire worlds - visual, atmospheric, and magical - allowing children (and adults) to step inside a story rather than simply listen to one. This journey naturally led me into becoming an author. I began writing my own series of stories to project within the dome, crafting narratives designed to be experienced as well as heard. Soon, I realised that children - especially my own daughters, who inspired two of my books - would also love to hold these stories in their hands. So, my work expanded from immersive storytelling to printed books, accompanied by activities that deepen the experience. Today, my stories exist both on the page and within the dome - offering moments of imagination, creativity, and calm. In a busy world, Icenai Domes provides a space to relax, listen, and be transported - whether you're a child discovering a love of stories or an adult in need of a little escape.
