OverviewThis story is about a young fellow as large as the thumb of a Great Man, but by chance, is incredibly strong. His name is Little Man. Little Man lives high up in a tree. Because his father and mother gone, Papa Jay, with his bright and beautiful green-orange wings, takes care of him and teaches him everything he has to learn. Little Man sleeps during the day, and at night, he watches over the people in the neighborhood, especially the children. He has experienced all sorts of adventures, including chasing people who are not of good will. By accident, he meets Floortje, a child of the Great People, and makes friends with her and her mom. Theo de Vos (1947) is a born storyteller. In all his stories, anything can happen. Children get to talk about what they have experienced, and they look forward to the next adventure. For years, he has narrated these stories to his children, especially when they were afraid. Sometimes, these stories made them calm, happy and warm.
