Author and illustrator Merwin Rylaarsdam is a retired pastor and a working grandparent. He and his wife Eloise have four grandchildren with a fifth one on the way. The simple illustrations are done with colored pencils and were created as a way to relax after work. The story is an imaginary story but brings to life the blessed opportunity grandparents have to bless their grandchildren with their love and lives.
