Overview

A LITTLE GIRL CAMPS with her family on the shore of Lake Superior, within the Lake Superior National Marine Conservation Area. She becomes lost in the marsh amongst the tall cattails. Karin Mackenzie believes that children of all ages are competent and capable. She advocates that reading is one of the greatest ways to share time with, be present with, and show love...to children of all ages! Abbi Buckley is a multidisciplinary artist from Dorion, Ontario. Growing up, the wetlands and forests surrounding Lake Superior were her playgrounds. She studied Fine Arts at Alberta University of the Arts in Calgary, Alberta where she discovered the magic of plant-based dyes. Today, Abbi creates natural dyes and inks from the various plants she grew up exploring, using them to bring her illustrations to life.
