Join The Little Gardener on a rhyming adventure to find her missing watering can! Find bunnies, birds, butterflies, bees, and more as The Little Gardener looks high, looks low, looks in the trees, and looks in the grass below! The Little Gardener's Watering Can is the story of a little girl's adventure as she searches for her watering can. The adventure takes her all around her family home. She climbs high into the tops of trees, wanders out into the fields with the horses, and even crawls down into a foxhole in search of her blue watering can. Along the way, she encounters a variety of plants and animals that live and grow on her family farm. The youngest readers (from babies to toddlers, and up to beginner readers) can enjoy this short little find and seek adventure as it's told through a simple and playful rhyme scheme. The Little Gardener's Watering Can is an easy and fun story for parents to read to or alongside their younger readers. Inspired by my own love of reading and my daughter's growing love of books, I decided to start writing my own children's literature. This poem turned story about the Little Gardener's watering can was created based on a day when we could not find the watering can that my little toddler loved dragging around the yard. Like so many things that go missing, it turned up in the most obvious place right next to the back door. I thought the situation was hilarious, and I turned it into a poem that later became this story!
