OverviewAccording to The Stuttering Foundation, approximately 80 million people have some form of stuttering. Stuttering is more prevalent among children, impacting about 5 percent of kids at some point in their lives. If you or someone you know stutters, please go to https: //www.stutteringhelp.org/ for further information. This is a story about a little boy who lives every day with his stutter. Like most children who stutter, one of his great fears is being called on to read in class and have what is called a ""block."" Having a block in front of others is the fear of most stutterers. Unfortunately, stuttering is also one of our few remaining differences still acceptable to mock, ridicule, or misunderstand. Some of my most vivid memories are of my stutter throughout my childhood- when I tried to hide it, when I struggled through it, and when I finally confronted it as an adult. The little boy in this book was me as far back as I can remember. And he still comes out every now and then with a story he wants to tell you.
