OverviewThis is a lighthearted mystery that takes place in a small Nova Scotia town, which is nestled along the shore of an historic tidal river. It is a tale of love and deceit, friendship and folly, and political intrigue and ambition. As in Rapsey's other novels, it is as much about the delightful characters in it as it is about the mystery. As diverse as they are, they are mostly loveable despite their human flaws. Although the book addresses some serious issues, it is written in an easy and whimsical style and contains all the essential elements of a compelling murder mystery.
