Formerly a music teacher and PGCE lecturer, she now divides her time between freelance writing, blogging and raising four children, of whom two are adopted. Lucy, her husband Al and their children live in York. Lucy is also the author of Redeeming Advent. Mary Batchelor was a best-selling children's author of Bible retellings and prayer books.
