Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationDavid Nelken is Distinguished Professor of Legal Institutions and Social Change at the University of Macerata in Italy, and Distinguished Research Professor of Law at Cardiff University, UK. He is also the Visiting Professor of Criminology at Oxford University's Centre of Criminology. He has published more than twenty books and numerous papers in the areas of legal and social theory, criminology and sociology of law. In 1985, he received a Distinguished Scholar Award (for 'The Limits of the Legal Process') from the American Sociological Association. In 2013, he was presented with the International Scholar Award by the US Law & Society Association, and Cambridge University awarded him an LL.D. degree.
