Half a year has passed since USPCF unit Terranova-7 eliminated Baphomet, but with dangerous and insane defector Bernard Smith's posthumous ascension as Supreme Architect, the cult is now worshipping a madman. Corporal Dale Bergeron and the rest of the United States Paranormal Combat Force are in a constant state of suspense, watching the base's borders like hawks. But what's discovered one fateful night watching Carolina's inner fence is not some violent insurgent strike, but one of their own in need. Discovered unconscious and with virtually no memory is Raine, a young girl dressed as a USPCF supersoldier with no clue as to anything prior. Mute at first, the more she opens up, the more questions are raised rather than answered. She struggles with her aerokinesis, displays great proficiency with throwing knives, but has no idea where she came from or how old she is. In the end, the origins of Raine's existence come to light, and some lines are blurred while others are drawn. Deals are broken, nations once friendly go to war, and motives all around become unclear in the struggle to define this enigmatic individual. But most importantly, how will she define herself?
